I remember being at a family Christmas gathering when one of my in-laws, who was sitting in front of the computer in the family room, burst out laughing and could not stop! When she finally calmed down she explained that she had received an e-card for Christmas from a relative who had decided to "Elf Herself!" We all had a good laugh watching it.
I thought of this recently when a colleague of mine sent out a newsletter with a similar video of himself that he had created at a site called JibJab.com. I then thought to myself, Why should she have all the fun!
As a bankruptcy attorney, I try to bring to my clients a new lease on life, a fresh start in their financial lives, and a bit of optimism for the future. Now, during the Christmas season, we look to a new year and pray that it will be better than the one we just had, with a Superstorm, a contentious election, and a tragic loss of life due to gun violence.
So with joy in my heart, and a mug of heavily spiked eggnog in my hand, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you be truly blessed in 2013!
