Before an attorney can give you a good legal opinion on your case, and determine if they can be of assistance, they have to do an in-depth review of your case, which has traditionally meant scheduling an in-office appointment. You would call, get on calendar, and then drive to and from the office at the appointed time.

However, you may be concerned with all you hear about the Corona Virus these days and be hesitant to come in to my office. No problem! I understand!

Let There Be Video Conferencing!

Although in-person meetings are the best, and I can still accommodate them if you so choose and feel safe doing so (all appropriate CDC guidelines are observed), I have the capability to do videoconferencing on several platforms. The most effective one, if you have a laptop or a webcam on your computer, is called Zoom. I prefer this because it includes not only video (we can talk face-to-face), but the ability to share screens, so you can show me documents on your computer.

If that is not possible, we can use Skype, FaceTime (if you have an iPhone) or Google Chat (Android) to do the video conference.

But What About Documents?

Many times a review of your case requires a review of certain documents. Holding them up to the screen in a video conference really isn't that practical, is it? However, you can send me the documents in advance by e-mail as PDFs.

If you have a scanner, that’s great! But what if you don't have one? No problem, your phone can help! There is an app for the iPhone called ScanBot that you can use, along with alternatives listed in this article. Android users have them too, and 12 of them are listed in this article. Create the PDFs and then e-mail them to me before your meeting.
