What Do I Need to Do After I File my NJ Bankruptcy?

The process is not over once you have filed, although you now have the protection of the bankruptcy court to keep your creditors at bay.  Here is what you need to do to assist me in bringing your case to a successful conclusion:

  1. Complete the Financial Management Course from an Approved Vendor , preferably before you meet with the trustee.
  2. View this video to know what to expect at your meeting with the trustee.

 

If you have a car loan or a car lease, you need to decide how to handle it.  There are several factors to consider.  Should yo decide to reaffirm the debt, you will need to follow up with me to take care of signing the Raffirmation Agreement. This must be done within 45 days of the date you meet with the trustee.
